Pacific Symphony

There is so much GOOD in our world. We see it everywhere! But last
night was REALLY good!
This week was Steve's birthday and Steve LOVES music, all kinds
of music! So last night we attended the Orange County Pacific Symphony
to hear maestro Carl St. Clair direct their Pops Choir and the
orchestra in Lauridsen's Lux Aeterna, and Beethoven's 9th Symphony. It
was simply inspiring! It was like hearing angels and feeling them as
well. It was uplifting! It was, actually, a spiritual experience.
And why not, it was all about faith and love. And goodness.
These artists have perfected their gifts and exemplify it in
total blend and feeling for the music and their leader. The choir
voices and, of course, the four soloists, were fantastic. The
Segerstrom Hall is such a gift to our community, the organ and recital,
just a thrill!
It occurred to us that many "good" people in our community have
made good music a priority in their lives and have contributed
generously to the Pacific Symphony. We are so GRATEFUL! What a
refinement available so easily to us! Patrons of the arts thoughout
all history have been minimal, but so very important. We are the
recipients of these gifts, all of us.
In the immortal words of Beethoven, "Ode to Joy", "Be embraced,
you millions! This kiss for the entire world! Brothers -- beyond the
starry canopy a loving Father must dwell. Do you fall on your knees,
you millions? Do you sense the Creator, world? Seek Him above the
starry canopy, and Beyone the stars must He dwell."
Now, that's GOOD!
